The Registered Course Names are made up of two parts: the course number from the SLU Schedule of Classes plus the SLU term code for semester.
SLU course numbers (NOT the Banner five digit course number) have three parts: the department code (2, 3 or 4 letters), followed by the course number (3 numbers), and then the section number (2 numbers).
If the department code has only 2 letters the third and fourth letter is represented by two underscores (PP_ _ ). For department codes with 3 letters, one underscore is needed ( MKT_). If the department code has four letter, no underscore is used (ENGL). Course numbers can be obtained from SLU Banner Self-Service by clicking on the Class Schedule link.
SLU term codes are made up of three parts: the first number is the year the current academic year ends, the second number is the semester and the last number is the session number if the course is in the School of Professional Studies. The summer semester = 0, the fall semester = 1, and the spring semester = 2.
